Talent

Talent Skatepark & Shop was founded in 2001. Through the next 17 years it provided a second home to thousands growing up in the Burlington, Vermont area, including myself, until it’s closing in 2018. Just months later, the local community banded together to form a board and re-open Talent as a non-profit. After years of work Talent re-opened their doors in February of 2020, one month before the first COVID lockdown. “Talent” profiles the skatepark's role in Vermont's skateboarding culture, its journey through re-opening in the midst of the pandemic, and its importance as a supportive space for young skaters.
